Description from Merchant:
Margin Arts currently offers six styles of photographic print paper. As you go through the ordering process, you will have the choice of six styles, three high- quality photographic papers, and three fine art papers:
High Quality Photographic Papers:
• Kodak Endura Metallic
• Lustre Photo Paper
• Fuji Deep Matte Velvet
The photographic process is a Kodak RA-4 chemical process, similar to traditional film development. Laser light is used to develop the continuous-tone image onto silver halide paper. This is commonly referred to as a "C-print" or "chromogenic" process, and this is an acid-free, archival print.
High Quality Archival Inks on Fine Art Papers:
• Semi-Gloss Fine Art Paper
• Smooth Fine Art Paper
• Lustre Fine Art Paper
The fine art paper printing process uses aqueous pigment inks. The inks are injected with via a twelve-color inkjet process that creates acid-free, archival prints.
Kodak Endura Metallic is a distinctive, attention-grabbing glossy-finish paper with a slight metallic appearance that creates striking prints with an ultra-wide color gamut. The metallic emulsion and excellent D-Min rating creates clean whites, and a high D-Max rating makes for rich blacks. Excellent contrast and very accurate skin tones makes Endura great photographic paper.
Our standard Lustre Photo Paper is Kodak Endura Lustre “E,” featuring a fine grain pebble textured surface. The blacks are deep and rich and hold their detail, while the whites are nice and bright. Lustre is very popular, partly because it’s a happy medium between a flat matte and a super-slick glossy surface. Luster is sometimes called semi-matte or pearl, and it has a bit more of a pebble to the surface than the matte does.
Our Fuji Deep Matte Velvet is officially known as FujiColor Crystal Archive Deep Matte Paper, and features a unique matte surface that provides elegant color reproduction with subtlety and warmth, and clear, sharp distinct print images. Pure whites, accurate, high-saturation colors and excellent silver halide image stability to withstand the test of time.
Our Semi-Gloss Fine Art Paper is Canson Platine Fibre Rag, a 310gsm, 100% Cotton, High DMAX, No OBAs, Acid-free paper. Platine Fibre Rag provides the aesthetic and feel of the original F-Type Baryta Fibre paper, featuring a true pure white tone without using optical brighteners that are known to affect the longevity of digitally produced images. Platine Fibre Rag’s extremely high D-Max and exceptional grey tones make it the product of choice for the more discerning black and white as well as color photographic prints.
Our Smooth Fine Art Paper is Moab Entrada Bright Rag. This award-winning, 100% cotton fine art paper brings visions to print through superb ink handling and sharpness. Entrada is an archival acid-free and lignin-free paper with an expanded color gamut, natural contrast and high ink load. It is compatible with both dye and pigment inks ensuring that when used with archival inks, your prints will last for generations. The paper has a smooth surface and we offer the Bright version for vivid, accurate quality.
Our Lustre Fine Art Paper is Epson Premium Lustre Paper. This is a high-quality quick-drying RC paper that produces vivid, lifelike images to rival those of traditional silver halide prints. This paper delivers highly saturated prints by offering maximum ink coverage and a high D-Max for true photographic reproductions. Its 10-mil RC base gives prints a traditional photographic feel, and keeps the paper cockle-free.
